Privacy Policy

BasePay collects and uses data to operate the wage transparency platform. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. BasePay is built for workers and we are committed to minimizing data collection.

BasePay is currently in MVP (early release). This privacy policy will be updated as the product matures. Last updated June 2026.

When you use BasePay, we may collect:

• Account information — email address, display name, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Wage submissions — employer name, job title, hourly rate, benefits, and workplace review text that you voluntarily submit
• Usage data — pages visited, filters used, and features accessed, collected via PostHog analytics
• Location data — ZIP code or city you enter to find nearby jobs; we do not access your device's GPS
• Payment data — billing is handled entirely by Stripe; BasePay does not store your card details

• To display aggregated, anonymized wage intelligence to other users
• To operate your account and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (job alerts, submission approvals) you opt into
• To improve the product via anonymous usage analytics
• To contact you about your account if necessary

BasePay uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com)
• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
• PostHog — product analytics; all inputs are masked (posthog.com)
• Mapbox — business location lookup and map display (mapbox.com)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.

Wage submissions are displayed publicly in aggregated form. Your name and account are never shown alongside individual submissions. Submissions marked anonymous are not linked to your profile in any public display.

We retain account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. Anonymized, aggregated wage data may be retained after account deletion.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time
