Terms of Service

Effective date: June 1, 2026 · MVP version

1. About BasePay

BasePay is a wage transparency and job discovery platform for hourly workers. By accessing or using BasePay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

BasePay is currently in MVP (early release). These policies will be updated as the product matures. Last updated June 2026.

2. User accounts

You may create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use BasePay. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Wage submissions

BasePay allows users to submit wage and workplace data. By submitting data, you represent that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submissions are subject to moderation before appearing publicly. Do not submit false, misleading, or copyrighted information.

Approved submissions may earn one month of free Premium access as a reward. BasePay reserves the right to approve or reject any submission at its discretion.

4. Premium subscriptions

Premium plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Submitting false or fabricated wage data
  • Scraping or harvesting data from BasePay without permission
  • Using the platform to harass, defame, or harm individuals or businesses
  • Attempting to circumvent premium access controls
  • Creating multiple accounts to abuse the submission reward system

6. Disclaimer of warranties

BasePay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Wage data is crowdsourced and may not be accurate or up to date. Do not rely solely on BasePay data for employment decisions. We make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, or completeness of any information on the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BasePay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to BasePay in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BasePay after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
